South Kent School
South Kent is a boarding school for boys only in grades 9-12 and postgraduate, located in the heart of the Litch field Hills in northwestern Connecticut. An enrollment of 150 students and a teaching staff of 35 translate into small classes and individualized attention for students. The average class has eight students enabling all students to receive the individual attention so critical during secondary educational development.
We have an innovative, theme centered integrated curriculum called the Form Program/ the Hero’s Journey. This combines a rigorous yet supportive academic programs, competitive athletics and opportunities in both studio and fine arts. While we are embracing the new millennium – cellular phones service, wireless campus, curriculum advances, and state of the art facilities with student amenities – and the changes these bring, we are also true to our past and the important values on which the school was founded in 1923. South Kent offers boys the chance to show off their strengths while developing their talents in a caring and honorable environment located five minutes walking distance from the small town of Kent where you find shopping, dining, community events.
