Kimball Union Academy
Since our founding nearly two hundred years ago by revolutionary war hero Daniel Kimball, the Kimball Union spirit of independence has created strong, self-reliant, community-oriented men and women, curious about the world, eager to engage with others, motivated by new experiences and opportunities, and most of all, well prepared to meet the challenges of life’s tests. Born out of the gorgeous hilltop village of Meriden and nearby Dartmouth College, we are an integral part of a thriving and extensive cultural, intellectual, artistic, and outdoor community.
In all, we are a vibrant learning community in which each individual student plays an important role. At Kimball Union, our spirit of independence joins with our awareness of our interdependence. Surrounded by highly-motivated students and inspired by a dedicated an talented faculty, together you will form habits of the heart and mind while building relationships – relationships to one’s self and one another, to ideas, to work, to life, to nature, and to the world at large – that will last a lifetime. At Kimball Union, you will have a sense of place and a sense of purpose.
