George School
George School is located near Philadelphia in a safe, suburban neighborhood with lovely gardens, open lawns, beautiful woods and acres of playing fields, tennis courts and handsome buildings. Philadelphia is 40 minutes to the south and New York City is two hours to the north.
George School is a Friends (Quaker) college preparatory boarding and day school for boys and girls in grades 9 through 12. George School was founded in 1893 by members of the Religious Society of Friends. The faculty teach the students to aspire to excellence as they are prepared for further education and a lifetime of learning as members of the global community.
The school is a mile from Newtown, a charming and historic town in Eastern Pennsylvania. The campus itself is a great place to spend time. Students exude energy and enthusiasm whether walking, jogging, studying, playing sports, or simply hanging out. They clearly care about each other and the world around them.
Academic and Sport Facilities

Dormitories and School Residences
The school has seven large dormitories. Boys and girls live in separate buildings. A dorm head resides in each dorm. In the large dorms, each dorm has at least one adult and two prefects in residence. Students are assigned roommates and they learn about dorm regulations upon arrival (lights-out time, study hall, using televisions, stereos, fire procedures, and phones, etc.)
