Fryeburg Academy
Fryeburg Academy, a coeducational boarding and day school for grades 9-12 and a post-graduate year, is located on 35-acre campus in a traditional New England small town setting at the edge of the White Mountains. The Fryeburg Academy was founded in 1792.
Fryeburg is a small town with a population of 3500. Life is simple and quiet and the people are very friendly and helpful. It is a good environment for studying. There are a few pizza parlors and grocery store for students to purchase food/items. We also take a weekly trip into North Conway, New Hampshire to shop at larger stores for supplies.
The English as a Second Language Department at Fryeburg Academy offers a variety of courses and English language training opportunities for international students. The philosophy of the department emphasizes learning through experience and practices both in and out of the classroom.
Interscholastic sports include field hockey, soccer, football, cross-country, golf, tennis, wrestling, basketball, baseball, softball, alpine and Nordic skiing, snowboarding, ice hockey, and track and field. The White Mountains present students with the potential for endless outdoor adventures including skiing, snowboarding, and hiking.
