Academic and Sport Facilities
Classrooms equipped with SMART Boards, computers and Internet; a 25,000-volume library, a large dining hall and a spacious quadrangle with fountain, stone benches and walkways. A modern science building with large laboratories and a greenhouse, a music building, and a performing arts center enhance the academic program. Fine and performing arts facilities include a performing arts center and a music building with varied practice spaces for group rehearsals and private lessons as well as a dance studio.
Cranbrook Schools offer two complete gymnasiums, an all-purpose stadium and track facility, a year-round ice arena, a new 21,000 square foot indoor swim facility, 15 all-weather tennis courts, a bowling alley, and numerous outdoor playing fields. Students also use a weight and fitness room with free weights and state-of-the-art athletic equipment.
Dormitories and School Residences
Boys live in the Cranbrook dormitories, girls at Kingswood. Both have dining and common rooms, meeting places and libraries. Boys live in single rooms and girls have roommates. Each room is equipped with a bed, dresser and desk. Telephone and Internet service are available for each student. Both dormitories have kitchenettes where students can make snacks and store perishable foods. Televisions are available in the common rooms in each dorm.
